There is nothing silly about sewing machine repair. It can be a very profitable business.

by Timothy Payn

My favorite technology sites:

You will always need sewing machine repair services. And water fuel kits are the best way forward in a world becoming devoid of natural resources. These are devised from an HHO kit. It must be added that battery reconditioning is also a great way to save on energy. Everyone should be looking into battery reconditioning right now. A jewelry booth is both practical and inspiring. A good jewelry business booth brings natural lifestyle wellbeing to many people across the country.

To repair a sewing machine has never been easier, thanks to sewing machine repair manuals available in shops and over the internet. What is important is to be able to choose the best sewing machine repair manual. More about good manuals I’m personally aware of later. For the time being, let’s examine these manuals and what you should keep an eye out for.

These sewing machine repair manuals are essential whether you are mechanically minded or not. They will cover the various marques and models of sewing machines and their peculiarities. Whether you’re looking for a manual for your own home machine or to start up a repair business, you must understand the various working parts of specific machines.

The following topics are essential to any sewing machine repair manual. These tips for finding the best manual will help anyone considering taking up a sewing machine repair business. If the manual doesn’t cover them, forget it.

It must cover how to thread all varieties of sewing machine and demonstrate how to wind the bobbin and choose the right needle for the model.

The sewing machine repair manual must clearly explain how to clean and lubricate different models in the correct manner. Without this knowledge, you’re asking for trouble in the future.

It must explicitly set out how to check and test all the parts of the machine for wear and tear (and breakages). It should also show how to detect mechanical problems like unusual noises, threads breaking, needles breaking, inconsistent stitching, stiching skip and so on. Make sure it also explains the underlying reasons for such problems.

Ensure your sewing machine repair manual covers how to align and straighten needle and presser bars. Check it shows how to level presser foots on all marques, and preferably models too.

It should demonstrate how to check and repair lights, motors, wiring and controls across the whole machine.

You will need to learn how to correctly time the needle bar. It is essential. It must also show you how to time the hook or shuttle and the feed mechanism with its various parts. If you master this, your repaired sewing machine should sew any material with ease and impress customers no end. Trust me, I know just how much customers are blown away by this.

The sewing machine repair manual must tell you how to set the tension across all marques. This is particularly important if you are thinking about starting a sewing machine repair business. The guide should also give guidance on realistic charges for your services.

Number eight is pretty important. A good guide will provide lists of where to source and buy wholesale sewing machine parts. This proves that the guide has come from someone who knows what he’s talking about.

Sewing machine repair is a boom business in 2008, mainly in the US but also in Europe. Schools and other educational institutions are vigorously promoting sewing as a life skill. Consequently, repairers proficient in servicing and mending sewing machines are in high demand. As a part time job, based at home, many repairers are earning well in excess of $40,000. That depends on location and marketing, but just think that a moderately used sewing machine will need servicing once a year, while those involved in heavy use will require servicing at least 4 times a year.

Use the evaluation tips above and you shouldn’t go to far wrong in choosing the best sewing machine repair guide.

There is so much interest in battery reconditioning, it is unbelievable. Battery reconditioning has been going on since 1643. Even Oliver Cromwell was interested in this science.

<!– @page { size: 21cm 29.7cm; margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } –>

A rejuvenate battery is a special thing. The dispute over how to recondition a battery has become a farrago. Off-grid batteries are essential to self-sufficient living, so how to rejuvenate an old battery is not something to get mixed up about. If you want to produce your own power off-grid, you will need to know all about how to rejuvenate off-grid batteries, whatever their type.

Batteries are the lifeblood of modern living. Just think about what they do. They provide light, cool temperature, increase temperature, transport us from one place to another and give us access to light entertainment. They keep us safe and sane and we need to respect them for that. If you are short on cash like I am, I’ll bet you’d also like to know how recondition them.

I’ve been banging on about the importance of batteries and how to rejuvenate batteries for years. I don’t seem to have come too far or made much impact. Most people I meet live in total ignorance of how batteries work. Most of us seem to have as little knowledge about NI-cad cells as we do about our own human cells. Leaving that lack of understanding to one side, I simply must state that battery cells need the same level of rejuvenation and overhaul as our own body cells need.

This makes obvious questions pop into our minds. These are questions which demand and deserve decent answers. Anything less than a frank response and I, personally, would be very disappointed. Here are the questions.

How can I rejuvenate a battery?

This battery is dead. What can I do?

How do batteries actually work?

How does a battery die?

What makes a battery lose life?

Last, and not least, we would all like to know how to link up a rejuvenated battery to a wind-powered system which will provide our home with light and heat. For me, this is where overhauled batteries come into their own.

For a wind powered unit, the Betz limit and axial momentum are crucial. Wake rotation and angular momentum are of no less concern. We are talking about wind power now, and wind has a long history with electricity. Basic electrical theories have been understood for quite some time. Wind and its power have been known about from the time of Genesis.

It is amazing to think, in our modern times, that it has taken us an historical amount of years to link the two. Allow me to explain a bit about turbines and axial momentum limits.

In a viscose form, energy exerts itself in just a few simple manifestations. They include thermodynamic pressures, heat energy, energy created from the earth’s gravitational force and something known as kinetic energy.

Atmospheric pressure around a wind turbine is the crucial element if you want maximum performance from a reconditioned battery. Air velocity remains constant, so it is the pressure that really makes all the difference.

by Timothy Payn

HHO systems are a ray of sunshine in the present economic gloom. They are a sure way of getting something for nothing. Free energy? Yes, that is correct.

With just a little bit of water, an electrode and electricity from a vehicle’s battery, anyone can be saving up to 60% on fuel. Currently they are do it yourself designs. They are actually pretty straightforward with a proper manual. In fact, more than 400,000 Americans already have HHO hybrid cars.

Never has the time been riper to invest in HHO systems. They are cheap, uncomplicated and come with a government refund, in the USA at least.

HHO Systems In Operation

The most important part of the system to get right, by far, is the hydro/oxygen generator. This is a small receptacle placed under the hood and connected to the battery and vaporiser. It contains a catalyst of platinum, stainless steel, or other metal. It is then filled with water from the tap.

A small surge of energy is conducted from the battery through the H2O which then reacts with the catalyst. Hydrogen and oxygen fizz away from the negative and positive terminals respectively. A highly combustible gas in varying combinations is then produced in the upper chamber. It is often referred to as Brown’s gas.

It is immediately vacuumed into the vaporiser unit, thus totally avoiding any potential safety problems. The bubbler also prevents any malingering moisture entering the engine. It is not absolutely essential but a wise inclusion none the less. They only cost about $7.

A professional instruction manual will demonstrate in detail the way to build and fit the electrode and, in fact the entire unit. This includes the electrical wiring and the control pod. The pod monitors and allows adjustments to the current in the water chamber. It connects the vehicle’s battery, ignition system and the generator.

Ferrous oxide can become a problem if the generator chamber is not emptied and replenished on a regular basis. Normally that means every 2 months. So the easier the chamber is to dismount, the better. It really should take no longer than half a minute.

The Cost Of HHO Systems

HHO systems cost less than $200 in materials. All the materials are easily bought from hardware, electrical and plumbing stores. A manual costs anywhere from $50 to $90 and should be available for immediate download. Although no specialist tools are necessary for building and installing HHO units, some people might find it helpful to enlist the skills of a mechanic. His labor costs really should not exceed $200.

With oil prices crippling many average Americans and Europeans $250 to $500 is very little to spend when potential savings on fuel are up to 60%. In any case, there is good news from the American administration. The IRS will now provide a $2,000 tax rebate for any car converted to HHO fuel. So it is possible to make $1,500 and upwards before the converted vehicle even hits the road.

My favorite blogs:

by Timothy Payn

HHO systems advice is bountiful but not always very helpful. HHO hybrid cars are an excellent idea for anyone wanting to increase their miles to the gallon by up to 60%. The energy is essentially free and a kit costs under $150 to make.

The problem is that there are good and bad ways of making HHO systems. The best advice is to browse the internet and then decide on a decent instruction manual to download. Most cost between $50 and $80.

How HHO Systems Work

The mechanism for converting water into HHO (variations of hydrogen and oxygen) is not complex. A simple reservoir made from material resistant to extreme temperatures is required. It is very easy to get hold of from a plumbing supplies store. CPVC is a good example.

An electrode is placed within the reservoir, or HHO generator, as it is often called. This is often where opinion varies. What is the best metal or alloy for the catalyst? Should it be spiralled or flat? The main thing is that they all work, but some only save 20% on gasoline, while others can save 60%.

In any case, as an electric current, coming from the vehicle’s battery, passes through the water, the H2O reacts with the electrode. What then occurs is hydrogen bubbling up through the water from the negative terminal and oxygen from the positive. This is the essence of a HHO hybrid.

The two gases then combine at the top of the chamber to form HHO gas. As this is sucked through to the carburetor, via a vaporiser en route, it mixes with the normal petroleum or diesel fuel which the vehicle uses. The result is that up to 60% of the vehicle’s motive power can be generated from this free form of gas.

A unit to modulate the electric flow and connect the circuit is also required. They can be custom made or bought from a good electrical store.

With the aid of a good instruction manual, over three million people worldwide have created their own HHO hybrids. And that figure is set to rocket as energy prices soar and the credit crunch, and quite possibly recession, kick in.

The Advantages of HHO Systems

As mentioned, the main benefit and fundamental point of HHO cars is they amount of fuel they save. For many people that can amount to several thousand dollars over the course of a year. They are also easier on the environment because the only byproduct of burnt oxygen and hydrogen is water.

Less well known is the fact that HHO prolongs engine life substantially. It produces less wear on gaskets and gives the pistons an easier ride. It also improves acceleration and power, particularly uphill.

Another huge advantage of HHO systems is that they are liable to a tax rebate from the government. The IRS offers a generous $2,000 for cars and up to $50,000 for a heavy lorry. Receipts as proof of having converted a vehicle will be necessary.

FIND THE BEST KIT GUIDES HERE

A good HHO kit will produce gas savings ranging from 20% right up to 60%. An HHO kit supplies variations of HHO to the carburetor which burn four or five times better than gas. This is how the huge savings are achieved. In fact a vehicle rune solely on gasoline is only around 25% efficient.

HHO Kit Facts for the Beginner

HHO gas is formed from plain tap water. It is not a new discovery but it has only been in recent years that is has been applied to cars to and trucks to make them cheaper to run. The existing engine does not need changing in any way. An HHO kit is simply and easily added on; it takes about half a day to build and fit.

A decent home kit costs under $130 in materials all of which are very common and easy to get your hands on. Even with a good manual, some folk find the construction and fitting difficult. In such cases it is far easier and less frustrating to take the manual to a mechanic who will probably not charge more than $200 in labor costs.

At the end of the financial year an application should be made for a tax rebate from the IRS. They will refund $2,000 for a family car, gas or diesel, with an HHO kit and up to $50,000 for a heavy goods vehicle. Ensure that all proof of the conversion is also supplied: receipts for materials, manual and any labor costs.

It has been shown that HHO gas is far easier on engine gaskets, prolonging the entire life of the engine by up to twice its normal expectancy. The ride also becomes smoother and quieter. Acceleration and torque can also be improved somewhat.

Building an HHO Kit

It is absolutely essential to find a good instruction manual. A certain amount of good information can be found by browsing the internet but that can take a long time and some of the details will probably be a bit sketchy. It is far easier and more time efficient to spend the $50 or so on a downloadable manual.

Then you will find there are only a few basic elements to an HHO system. The most important part is the HHO generator. This comprises a small reservoir for the water and contains a catalyst. As an electrical current, drawn from the vehicle’s battery, is passed through the water, the H2O reacts with the catalyst. Hydrogen bubbles off the negative terminal and oxygen from the positive. They reform in the chamber to produce HHO gas.

The HHO then passes through a vaporiser on its way to the carburetor where it mixes with standard gasoline or diesel. The result is the vehicle running partly on free gas, produced from water.

The other necessary piece of equipment is the electric control unit. The unit itself can sit anywhere although most people tend to mount above or below the dashboard. It just connects and earths the electrical system linking the ignition, battery and generator of the HHO kit.

An HHO vehicle is almost a no-brainer. For the sake of $200 and a bit of fiddling about, why aren’t we all installing kits?

GET A KIT GUIDE. CLICK HERE.

Well, the facts are that more than 300,000 Americans and 2 million people worldwide have already done so. Gasoline or diesel, any car or truck can be adapted. Of course, it is still a hybrid system, still using gas or diesel, and will only create savings of 20% to 50%, but it is currently the best option if you want to save gas.

Many people in the USA have made an HHO vehicle mainly to claim the $2,000 tax rebate offered by the IRS. It makes sense. If you are a tax payer, for $200 plus a manual for $50 to $90 and possibly the aid of a mechanic for $100, you get back $2,000 from the government. That said, nowadays even just a 20% saving on gas bills equates to a lot of dollars for many people.

How an HHO Vehicle Works

An HHO hybrid auto has a kit attached to its ignition, battery and carburetor hose. The kit consists of an HHO generator, a bubbler and an electronic control system.

The generator is a reservoir made from high temperature resistent material, commonly CPVC, and contains a catalyst often made from platinum. The catalyst may be flat or spiralled. Wires from the ignition and car battery are connected to the reservoir.

When the car is started an electric current passes through the water contained in the reservoir and this reacts with the electrode. The molecules split and HHO is formed. This oxyhydrogen gas is sucked off into the car’s engine where it burns four times better than gasoline.

So are made the savings, for free, on gasoline. All that is required is simple tap water. The generator will need replenishing and cleaning periodically, so it makes sense to be able to remove it quickly. A basic cradle to mount it in is sufficient.

A good instruction manual will also demonstrate how to make a control unit. It simply connects together the electric circuit between ignition, battery and generator and monitors it. Even better if you design one to control the amperage passing through the water. In fact, it is not even necessary to make one yourself. You can buy one from a good electrical store for just $20 or $30 more than if you did do it yourself.

The bubbler is fitted between the generator and the carburetor. It is there just to prevent moisture from entering the engine.

The electronic control system links everything together, viz. battery, reservoir and ignition. It also earths the entire system. It is very useful to have a unit that will allow monitoring and control over the amperage passing through the water.

Making and fitting your own unit really should not take longer than four to six hours. Getting it tuned correctly can take a couple of hours more. And that really is that for an HHO vehicle.

Hydrogen fuel conversion systems have become quite standardised over the past 18 to 24 months. Most home produced kits are very similar, although it is still worth making sure you get one of the better manuals to guide you through the process.

GREAT HYDROGEN FUEL CONVERSION GUIDES AT CARS PLUS.

Man has reached the moon and achieved so many other remarkable technological feats, yet we still struggle to find practical renewable energy solutions. But there is at least some good news in the automotive industry.

As it stands at present, over a quarter million American car owners have employed hydrogen fuel conversion systems in their vehicles. A minuscule percentage has bought a pre-built kit costing upwards of $5,000. Most have followed an instruction manual and done it themselves for $140 or employed a mechanic for an additional $120 or so.

If you get the tuning right, you can save up to 50% on gasoline. The average saving is probably in the region of 20% to 30%. Of course it depends on the fuel consumption and how often you use your vehicle, but for many folk savings from $250 to $700 a month are not uncommon.

How Hydrogen Fuel Conversion Systems Work

The chemistry of hydrogen production is not terribly complicated. Here we are talking about production of hydrogen (or, more precisely, hho gas) on an as-required basis, rather than tanks of hydrogen being stored on board a vehicle. By the way, this is a totally safe way of part-powering a car; the hydrogen is used as soon as it is produced.

With the aid of an instruction manual you, or your mechanic, can build the following basic hydrogen fuel conversion system.

You will need a casing to hold about a quart of water. It needs to be resistent to high temperatures. CPVC tubes are readily available from a plumbing or hardware store and are ideal material. Within the casing an electrode is placed; this can be stainless steel, platinum or other suitable metal. You now have a hydrogen, or hho, generator. An electric current from the vehicle’s battery is passed through the water and water forms HHO on contact with the electrode. Hydrogen, or hydroxy gas, bubbles to the surface and is then drawn off via a bubbler to the engine for use as combustible fuel. It burns up to four times more efficiently than gasoline or diesel. It makes sense to create a simple cradle to hold the hydrogen fuel generator in place. It can then be easily dismounted for periodic cleaning.

A hydrogen fuel conversion system will also need an electronic control unit. This connects the vehicle’s ignition to the battery and generator and earths the entire system. It is incredibly simple to make or cheap to buy off the shelf. It is useful to include a control over the amperage passing through the water. It allows you to adjust to 13 amps every so often. Most folk mount it discreetly under the dashboard, but it is all a matter of personal choice.

Apart from some cheap electrical wire, a vaporiser and some hose, that is pretty much all there is to hydrogen fuel conversion systems.

An HHO manual is currently the only way to go with this exciting technology which increases miles per gallon by an average of 45%. That means making the HHO kit yourself or getting a mechanic to do it for you. It is still a very cheap option, nonetheless.

There is some speculation about HHO manual guides for cars. Most are very good in my experience. I have tested seven of the top guides and all have proved useful and instructive.

[Author: Lucy Payn]

HHO technology can be made or bought as a kit. It has allowed over 200,000 American car owners to save between 20% and 50% on their gas bills. That figure is likely to be over two million by the end of 2009.

Here are the top tips for what should be included in a good HHO manual.

Top Tips for Choosing a Good HHO Manual

The guide should include:

A background summary on the chemistry involved in HHO technology. It is, in fact, pretty simple at face value. An electric current, drawn for the vehicle’s battery, is passed through a container of water. The water reacts with an electrode mounted in the container and HHO is formed. Hydroxy gas bubbles to the surface and is drawn off into the car’s carburetor. This hydroxy gas burns up to four times better than gasoline.

A good HHO manual should provide an idea of costs. As with anything, good quality is more expensive, but any system should only cost from $90 to $200. Anticipate spending $50 to $80 on a decent instruction manual. Total cost: $140 to $280.

Instructions and diagrams or photos of the casing, the electrical circuit, the electrical control unit, the electrode, the bubbler and assembly and fitting within the engine well.

The casing and electrode (or catalyst) fall into one category. The casing needs to be made of CPVC (a high temperature resistant material) or similar. The HHO manual should then demonstrate how to construct an electrode, coil or flat, from stainless steel or platinum parts. The cost of the housing and electrode should not exceed $80.

The electrical circuit is basic but you must get it right. The ignition, generator and battery all need to be wired correctly and properly earthed. The production of hydrogen (on demand rather than stored on board) is entirely safe. The only safety concerns are involved with bad or incorrect wiring.

The bubbler, or vaporiser, is very straightforward. It is a little device, costing under $10, which is positioned between the carburetor and the generator to prevent water vapor entering the engine.

The electrical control unit can be fun. In essence, there is nothing to it. It simply controls the circuitry between the battery, generator and ignition wires. A good HHO manual will demonstrate how to make one yourself or what to buy if you are unsure. Bought off the shelf or via the internet a control unit won’t cost more than $25. More sophisticated models will allow you to regulate the amperage passing through the water in the generator, which is by no means critical but essential for scrooges.

Each manual I have tried has had its own peculiarities, which is to be expected. With each, I have been able to assemble and install an HHO system the way the HHO manual instructed me.

It is so easy to convert your car to HHO. Even I, a mechanical idiot, understood it and did it. In fact, in the space of a year I have now built and fitted twelve HHO kits for family and friends.

Much more information about HHO kits and manuals may be found at AUTO HELP.

[Author: L. Payn]

The best savings on gas have been on medium-sized family cars, around 35%. The two trucks I have converted seem to be saving around 30%, while smaller cars appear to save about 25% with HHO conversions.

If you are not familiar with how to convert your car to HHO, I will try and explain. Even better, let us look at the advantages of converting your car to HHO first.

Benefits If You Convert Your Car To HHO

HHO kits make it possible to save on gas by up to 50%. Do your own math for your own vehicle. Hydroxy gas works with both gas and diesel engines. Some makes and models do better than others, but they all make savings.

In the States the IRS will give a tax refund of $2,000 if you convert your vehicle to HHO. If you convert a truck in excess of 50,000 lbs in weight, they will give a rebate of $50,000. That is something to ponder upon.

Only basic household tools are necessary to build and fit an HHO kit.

The materials required cost under $150 and can be ordered via the internet or at a local plumbing and hardware store.

To convert your car to HHO requires no technical competence. At worst, a mechanic will happily do it for you for under $200.

How To Convert Your Car To HHO

With the right manual, anyone is capable of converting their vehicle to HHO. Most provide clear and concise instructions and diagrams.

Basically, all that is needed is some CPVC housing, a catalyst, electrical wire, electric module, a bubbler and hose pipe. CPVC is resistent to high temperatures and can be obtained from a plumbing supplier. You won’t need much of it.

The electric control module is very simple to make, comprising mainly of switches. Most electrical dealers will make one up for you very cheaply (if you are reticent about doing it yourself), if you furnish them with the correct instructions from your manual. Indicator lights are a good idea but not essential.

The cost of the catalyst can range from $20 to $100 depending on whether you want platinum or simple stainless steel. Making it takes less than two hours. You will need to refer to your instruction manual.

The hose pipe is straightforward. This connects your HHO unit to your carburetor intake pipe. How to make the connection and seal it is easily explained. The pipe costs cents and most hardware stores will cut it to length for you. The bubbler is a simple housing to ensure no moisture reaches the carburetor.

The electrical wire simply connects together the ignition, control unit and catalyst. Normal electrical wire does just fine.

And it really is about as simple as that to convert your car to HHO.
